BUILDING HOPE, CHANGING LIVES ACROSS COASTAL AND URBAN COMMUNITIES
There are around 121 million children of primary and lower secondary school age who do not have access to education. Government schools serve majority of children in our country. These schools have witnessed decline in their services, and increasingly they are accessed by the poor and the marginalized. Across India, a handful of committed individuals have led efforts to improve government schools, in the belief that they could demonstrate or induce an enduring change in the system. Sri Varalakshmi Charitable Trust led by Govinda Babu Poojari has been helping government schools to basic amenities and facilities to getgood education for rural kids. The Trust has been donating books and school bags every year and adopting students and bearing all educational expenses
