Sri Varalakshmi Charitable Trust(r) UPPUNDA

An organization that was started in the costal region of Karnataka, with a vision of being hope for the poor and needy, has expanded its reach currently, into metropolitan cities like Bangalore and Mumbai. Since its inception the organization has been conducting numerous social-welfare programs.    

Organization has been donating regularly since its genesis to the elderly orphanage shelters. The under privileged rural students have been presented scholarships to continue their education. This has helped several underprivileged students achieve their dreams. The trust has also helped several poor fishermen in building their houses and eased their livelihood during the tidal waves and flood. The Corona pandemic had disrupted, peoples lives around the world. The Organization has helped and distributed food packages to the poor and needy in and nearby villages of Byndoor during the pandemic. The trust has constantly worked to alleviate the hunger of the poor through food distribution in rural areas. The Organization has also taken steps to up-liftment of the un privileged people in metropolitan cites such as Bangalore and Mumbai.

CHARITY ACTIVITIES

1. Donated Free homes for poor people (donated 13 homes and 130 applications received)

2. Donated the daily need materials to old age homes and elder people.

3. Distributed 4,000 free food kit in first COVID lockdown.

4. Distributed 7,000 free food kit in second COVID lockdown.

5. Helped medical expenses for poor people.

6. Donated free food to corona care center in Udupi and Bangalore.

7. Donated free food kit to 3000+ common people in Udupi and Bangalore in COVID 1st and 2nd wave.

8. Distributed school bags, notebooks and scholarship for talented people.

9. Distributed free drinking water to 500 homes in Udupi district
