BUILDING HOPE, CHANGING LIVES ACROSS COASTAL AND URBAN COMMUNITIES
ENABLING INDEPENDENCE AND INCLUSION
Since our beginning, it has always been our purpose to support those who need us the most and children with special needs are one of them. Most of the children are born within the protective care of their parents and they lead a regular life. They can go to school, experience life and take decisions that are beneficial for them. But everyone is that much fortunate in life. There are children who fail to have these normal things because they are born with different abilities. India has 20.43 lakhs of children with special needs, aged between 0-6 years and most of them belong from rural areas .Children with hearing and eyesight disabilities create a major part of such children. If we are to put together all age groups, there are currently 41 lakhs children with eyesight difficulties and 47 lakhs with hearing impairment in the country, according to the 2011 census.
