Varalakshmi Kuteera

Varalakshmi Kuteera

Since its inception, the SRI VARALAKSHMI CHARITABLE TRUST, Uppunda, has actively engaged in social welfare, consistently supporting elderly orphanages and offering scholarships to underprivileged rural students, helping them achieve their educational dreams.

Countless families in the Udupi district live in dire conditions, in thatched huts or dilapidated structures, vulnerable to extreme weather and wildlife. Seeing their plight, the Trust initiated a Free Sustainable Housing project to provide secure shelter for these nearly-homeless individuals. In South India, a significant rural population lacks proper housing, with many earning insufficient incomes. In response, the Trust has built 13 homes in two years for the poor f isherman community and has six ongoing projects, with 180 new applications for assistance. The Sri Varalakshmi Charitable Trust seeks support from organizations and corporations to fund these vital housing projects. Partnering with the Trust can make a profound difference, offering security and dignity to those in dire need of safe and stable living conditions...
